Julien has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). A dedicated entrepreneur, he specializes in corporate finance and has extensive experience in retailing, distribution, manufacturing and the tertiary sector. In addition to ave imagined, developped and managed Glutenberg Craft Brewery along with his friend David Cayer, he is also the main founder of the Glutenberg Group’s scope strategy: Transbroue (2013) and Oshlag Brewery & Distillery (2016), Maison Agricole Joy Hill (2017) and other projects in developement. Before launching Glutenberg, he contributed to many business plans and successfully started two companies (Symbiose Gestion & Ékovia Distribution). Julien suffers from dermatitis hepiformis, the skin condition associated with celiac disease. He founded Glutenberg with two precise goals in mind: to do something he’d be passionate about and to produce the very first true and delicious gluten-free beers. A creative and ambitious visionary, he leads the Glutenberg Group by doing doing what he does best: seizing opportunities and realizing them.

With a master’s degree in management from HEC Montréal, David also has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UQÀM. During his time here, he traveled to the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. While in the Netherlands, he discovered his ever-growing passion for beer. David worked in marketing & communications in a renowned financial institution for over four years. In 2009, he launched Ékovia Distribution, an ecological products distribution company with Julien Niquet. David excels in interpersonal relationships. A highly effective communicator and manager, he coordinates all the activities of the microbrewery related to production, sales, marketing and business development. He has been and still is the true cornerstone of Glutenberg brand’s development and influence in Quebec and worldwide.

Gabriel worked with children with special needs for seven years before deciding to pursue his brewing dream. He taught himself the art of home brewing, perfected his technique at McAuslan’s Brewery and took the leap as Glutenberg’s Head Brewer in 2010. Since then, he has researched, developed and created each of Glutenberg’s beers, always looking for new ways to improve his recipes and brewing methods. His creations have been acclaimed on both the national and international stage. He is currently finishing a brewing diploma at UK’s famous Institute of Brewing and Distilling.

Vincent is in charge of Glutenberg and its subsidiaries’ (Transbroue & Oshlag) accounting and finances. Vincent has a deep and incomparable understanding of the brewery’s internal processes, since he dabbled in every possible position, from accounting, to logistical analysis, billings and sometimes even canning and production. Holder of a CPA, CGA title, he is presently doing his master’s in tax law.

Fascinated by electrical circuits and general mechanics, there is no problem that Pascal can’t solve. A real handyman, he holds a DEP (Vocational Diploma) in electromechanical engineering of automated systems. He worked at Solus Automation for seven years before combining his passion for craft brewing with his profession as an electromechanic. He keeps an eye on all of Glutenberg’s brewing and production equipment.

A home brewer since 2010, Mathieu trained in brewing at Maska Laboratories in St-Hyacinthe. A Chambly native, he tried his hand at brewing at Shawinigan’s Microbrasserie Broadway, where he perfected his technique for a year before looking for new challenges in Montreal. He has been a brewer at Glutenberg since August 2016.

From woodworking to song writing as well as renovations and delivery, Francis is a man of many talents. He deepened his beer knowledge and discovered Glutenberg while working at Fromagerie Atwater, one of Montreal’s leading delicatessen grocery stores. Here, he advised customers on craft beer and fine cheese pairings.

Alex discovered home brewing during an extended stay in Europe. Once back in Quebec, he pursued his passion as a barman at Le Cheval Blanc, l’Amère à boire and l’Espace Public, all Montreal craft breweries. After spending six months learning the ropes of beer production at Dunham at the end of his studies in cinematography, he headed to Glutenberg to begin his career as a brewer.

One of Glutenberg’s oldest employees, Guillaume is the canning line expert. A nature and botany lover, he worked for four years as a sales adviser at SAIL before joining the Glutenberg team. A graduate in carpentry in 2012 and in heavy vehicle mechanics in 2016, Frédéric worked as a lifeguard as well as a swimming, aquafitness and indoor pool lifeguard instructor for seven years. He put his skills to work in the construction industry for a year before he joined the Glutenberg production team.

With a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and media and a diploma in graphic design, Isabelle has worked as an independent graphic designer for the last five years. Working in close collaboration with the marketing team, she developed the vast majority of Glutenberg’s visual designs . She takes her inspiration from her love of craft brewing to design labels, posters and by-product merchandise.

An independent developer, Bruno ensures website maintenance and optimization of employee management systems for Glutenberg and its subsidiaries. He contributed to setting up Transbroue’s automated delivery system and played a key role in implementing Oshlag and Glutenberg’s website, as well as developing their infrastructure.

Ferme sans gluten is a family business consisting of Marco Vincent, a 3rd generation agriculturalist , his wife, Sylvia Hagan, and their children, Virginie & Philippe. A self-taught person, Marco has been interested for over 20 years in avant-garde and unconventional organic farming techniques. Responsible for field production and grain transformation, he started growing gluten-free grains for Glutenberg in 2011, thus establishing the beginning of a wonderful collaboration. As for Sylvia, with an education in secretarial work and agriculture, she is in charge of business development, the marketing of new products, and all of the administration tasks. As their slogan “Your health is our priority” states, they value the health of their customers above everything else.

Having worked in the world of theater production for two decades, Francis is a technical and logistics expert. An avid biker and festival-goer, he is Glutenberg’s brand ambassador at most brewing festivals that Glutenberg participates in and also represents the brand at fairs and sports events.
